I have had a set of good working days at work. I worked my ass off for the last several days. But the results are here. I am working on the alerts piece and I have been able to create a quotes feed that feeds live data from the server and displays it inside a table with changing colors. It looks pretty good. This was a major overhaul in functionality. And a lot of work.
When I showed them today. Actually, a funny story happened. When I was showing that to my manager and Tom, it did not work. I had everything working, but at the time I was displaying it to them, it did not work. ( It always happens like that. But it was a recent change I put in (a risky move, actually) and I fixed it a while they went to their seats.
I called them again and this thing worked nicely. They were impressed, I think. Vadim said “very good job” to me. That’s good. I still have some work to do. I promised to deliver it by Monday, so we’ll see.
