I like it here at Markit. It’s not great, and maybe not as cool as at Ask, but some of the things here are best I’ve had. For instance, my managers have been very good so far. Very frank, very open ended, with no ego. That’s how the way it should be and that’s how I want to be in the future.
I worked on creating an birthday party invitation for Fabian. I worked with Microsoft Publisher’s template. Not the easiest thing to do and maybe not the best template, but I like it. I made it original and I like that the most.
It’s only a week when my family is coming over. I am excited. I can’t wait to see them. It would be amazing to see them again. I miss them a lot.
I have found a good way to learn new words. I am opening up an email window that sits in the taskbar. I write the word as a subject and an explanation in the body. I get a chance to look at it throughout the day and review the word. It seems to work. I learned the word intrepid – fearless. The second word I learned is mollify – to calm – I still have to review this one. In any case, my goal is to learn at least one word every day.
