I learned something yesterday. My son can play soccer! Really, he had an awesome game yesterday. And the main difference? He gave his best effort. He stayed with the ball when he had to. He ran with the ball when he had to. He passed the ball when it was time. I had the pleasure of watching Fabian.
And what did Fabian say at the end of the game? Daddy, I’m playing well today. Excactly! He made me proud yesterday. And it’s a good thing that we did not give up as it was almost raining.
I think this was Fabian’s breakout game. If he continues advancing, then I should really thing about taking it to another level and signing him up for a travel team. We’ll see. I think there is indoor soccer and I want Fabian to play.
