A very good day for me so far. I received a reply from Google! And I’m also in the running for the job at Markit, which is also a positive.
A recruiter from Google contacted me today and told me that he wants to schedule a phone conversation — interview — with me. I told him my times and he’s going to call me Monday morning at 8:45! That’s great news.
I would love to work for Google. The job requirements are not so bad. I still need to brush up on everything but I think I have a good chance of landing the senior software engineer that I applied for.
I’m sure he’s going to ask me why I want to leave Ask.com. What am I going to tell him? I will tell him that I am almost like anyone else, and that I think Google is the best company to work for for a software engineer, and also that in the future I would like to become a team lead/manager and I don’t have too many prospects here.
My brother’s wife, Marta, delivered a girl today — Patricia, probably. My family is growing. Marysia, my other brother’s wife, is due soon. 🙂 Good times.
