  • train noise

    My wife has hit a rough patch with the house. She hates the train. Not the train itself, but the noise it is making when it is blowing the horn. It’s interrupting her sleep. She’s having a hard time accepting it. So she complains all the time.

    I told her to stop. No reason to beat the dead horse.

    Not much we can do about it.

    Do I want to sell the house? No. Not yet, at least. It’s only been a year! I want to live at least 2 more years, more like 4 or 5 to make a decision.

    We’ll see, hopefully we can adopt.

  • insulation

    I am doing a lot of house work. I spend a lot of money doing it. Is it worth it? I hope it will be. Eventually. But even now, you pay for luxury. Is it? It hink so. The freedom; better schools; better social status. I think positives are there.

    But it is expensive!

    My latest project? Insulation! For around $600 (with truck rental charge), I put 18 bags of Atticat insulation into my attic. It’s a loose fiberglass insulation. Fairly easy process once I had everything ready. My wife helped me.

    Will it work? Don’t know yet. Victor’s rooms seems to be warmer now. Will know more when it is cold outside!

  • house b day getting closer

    I have to say that we’re getting closer and closer to the B day. No, not the birthday day. Buy-house date! It’s crazy that the deal can still fall apart. I hope not. I hope we can seal it tomorrow or Saturday. I really do, so nobody else can steal it.

    I’m still hopeful that it will go and we’d be able to buy it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

    If it falls apart, I’ll be really upset. That would make the woman unprofessional. It would make her look “money hungry.” But she’s probably still hoping to get a better offer. Does she? I can’t say. I hope she’s over it. It’ll still hurt her since she has to pay a lot, but’s the nature of the business.

    I got a great deal and I hope to seal it soon. Feeling better and better about it, actually.

  • almost a home owner!

    I think I’m going to enter a new stage of my life: being a home owner!

    Should I rejoice?

    Should I cry?

    Considering that I’ve been “holding out” for some time, I think I’m going to jump in joy! Yeah! Yeah!

    My wife has been down lately… dying to hear from the seller. I must say: it was painful to wait 2 days for a response.

    But in the end, I might be able to declare victory! Not just yet, but if everything ends up successfully, I will. I think it’s a dream house for us. Dream town. Expensive town, for sure. But it’s a one-of-a-kind town. I love it. Hopefully being a home owner will not spoil that. I really hope so.

    But after the seller agreed to a price lower by $10K, my wife got a sigh of relief. I can sense a different voice in her. I think this is going to be a great home in a great town. Let’s just put the final nails towards sealing the deal.
