I’ve got a good team and I need to keep it that way. I like how I am open. I like how other guys are open. That creates a good atmosphere. And I’m getting good feedback.

During the quarterly reviews I asked guys for feedback. It came back very positive. The negative things they had to say were small. Mostly a wishlist, sort of.

But things are never stale at m6d. So I have to keep working hard. I have to keep improving. My team has to keep improving. Just to keep them happy I have to work hard. It’s harder than I think.

I find it peacuful. I find it motivating. I really like leading other guys.

It must be something about me, how I work that’s helping me.

I must be a leader inside of me.

And lately, I am finding out what type of leader I am. I like to seek opportunities for others. I like to help them get there. And that’s big, in my opinion.

Bottom line, what I think I’m doing is… what I wished I had seen in my leaders.

  • opening doors

I am learning that my style of leadership is open door leadership. That means opening doors for others. That means finding opportunities for the ones I lead. I started reading the book on Open Leadership and I love it. There is a lot of “me” in the book.

I do want to open doors for others. I want to have them feel like they’re accomplishing their goals. I want to have them feel like they’re accomplishing things.

Question is, can I do that for my family?
