  • shy victor

Is Victor shy or stubborn. Yesterday he had a “checkpoint” for kindergarten and he did not want to answer questions when asked.

I talked to him about it in the evening. He said that he was shy. I never talked to that lady before, he said. So it is most likely true that’s what happened. He was just shy. But I asked him not to be shy but try your best. A lot of times he might be blaming his shyness on this.  I don’t want him to do that.

I think he’ll change. I am shy myself. It takes me a while to get comfortable with others. So this could be a temporary thing.

  • victor and me

My son Victor is an intersting case. He picks things up very quickly. Yesterday night when he was putting puzzles together on of his puzzles fell on the floor. He said, “oh, frequent.” And then he said, “daddy, I said, oh frequent.” How funny is that?

I think learning wise he’s going to have it easy. Social wise, he’s going to have it tough. He likes to play by himself. He’s very individualistic. I do hope he plays with kids more and more as that will help him in life. I know if because Victor reminds me “myself.” I see a lot of him in him. Love that.

My son Victor is really a smart boy. I think he’s going to develop into a smart, controlled boy. He’s a bit different from Fabian. He can concentrate when I’m reading a book to him. He can play by himself for quite some time. And he eats well. He reminds me a bit of me, but then again, I only know myself from what others told me.

Victor is 9 months now. He’s what I learned recently, sofa cruising. 🙂 And he has a very good technique when crawling. He is going to more and more places. He also develops “his” favorite places and things to do.

One of the things he loves is to chew. Especially, pretzels. He loves taking out things out of a drawer in the bathroom. A great boy he’s turning out to be. Let’s hope! 🙂

I’m lucky to have 2 great boys.

  • party

We had a great party on Saturday. Really. I know I’m not objective, but it was one of the best Christening parties I’ve been to. And a lot of people were saying that when they were leaving. Even my mom said that the DJ got everyone involved. That the cake was really really good. That the Cocktail Hour was really good. My uncle said that it’s worth paying $20 more per person.

I think so too. Party at The Bethwood is worth it. Next time I am going to try to get the Seville. I think that’s the best room they have. Really nice. The one we had, Chestnut, was not bad, either. So all in all, it was as we had imagined or dreamed of.

My wife really deserves an award for this. She pretty much setup everything. Excellent job by her.

And Victor was great. My son Fabian needs to be held on a closer leash. He really is causing us more and more trouble. Not sure if that’s really him or if it’s the age, but it cannot continue. I need to find ways and mostly my wife in Poland to make him better. Otherwise, it’s just going to be difficult for us. And for him in the future.

I think I will have to give a speech on Victor’s Christening. I still don’t what I’m going to talk about. Here’s on idea.

Victor byl urodzony o 12:52 w Srode, 9go lutego. W Czwartek, byla bardzo duza sniezyca. Koledzy w pracy smiali sie… powiedz Victorkowi ze nie zawsze jest tak snieznie. Ale my rodzice bedziemy to pamietac. Viktorek pewnie tez.

Wszystkich!

  • today

Today I did much better with work related work at work. When I feel some extra pressure, I usually work much harder. I think that’s a nice quality of me: I work well under pressure. Pressure actually makes me work harder. I think it’s really a nice quality to have.

My wife and pretty much my whole family (key word: my) will go to Poland for 2 months. How will I handle that? I need to set some goals. I need to have to action items that will motivate me.

I think I do. I want to really start going on the Amazon store. It’s something that has been on my mind for quite some time. I think I have some new tools that will make working on this project much more fun, and educational. This project should be my #1 goal. I should be spending my free time doing it.

Another thing I have to do is deepen my algorithms and data structures knowledge. If I want to have a chance to getting to G, I need to do a lot of work. I believe that with preparation I can get in. Without it, I don’t think I have a chance. I think I’m up for the task.

Victor is different. He looks different, he behaves a bit different.  I think he’s more like me. But I’ll have to wait a bit more to see if that’s really true. Yesterday, after my wife and everybody else left the house, I experienced something that might diffute that statement. He started crying really hard. He did not want to stop. He cried really, really hard. It means that he’s tough. Real tough. But on the other hand, all of this is really early. But it’s going to be intersting to see how he develops. I hope he stays like me.

Waking at 5:30 seems to be a good “compromise.” I can go to sleep around 10 or so, and still get a good night sleep. Plus, when I do wake up in the morning, I have enough time to do some things. I have to rush a bit more, but it’s not that bad. Another option is 5:15, but I have to see if that will work for me. But I do have to wake up! Lately, with my mother in law in the house, it has not been consistent.
