  • writing

I need to find the time to write a blog entry every day. I also have to be more strict in writing a blog entry. I am being “late” to say the least. Writing is important. Writing makes me think better. Writing makes me more motivated. I need to do more of it!

  • getting things done

I think my goal setting is working. Yes, I cannot expect to do great everyday, but I can force myself to focus on the MIT. Whether I get good results from that, only time will tell. I do hope so. It’s not always easy to focus on the things that might not be so interesting. But to be plorific, I have to!

  • today

Some resistance to doing the best possible job? Perhaps. But is that abnormal? Probably not. On the positive side, I am focusing on work related tasks. That’s a nice change from my previous jobs. I do work and dev related tasks pretty much all the time. That’s a big accomplishment.

I should also focus on being more plorific. On any task. I have some work to do in that regard. But things will improve as I gain more and more understanding.

I did raised my voice today during a meeting. That’s a good thing. I need to do that more often. I do feel some nervousness. Not really sure why. I need to attack the feast so it’s gone. How? I need to force myself to getting rid of the fear. Keep attacking it. Keep fighting it. And I will overcome it. Making a mistake is nothing. I should make more.

My wife told me a scary thing. She lost Fabian. Oh, no. Something struck my heart. SHe did lose him at the Bergen mall. He got away and went to Whole Foods. She looked around with no luck. That was really, really scary! But she eventually found him.

    Gotta run. NJ Transit alert.

  • work

I’m getting that “I love this work” feeling from time to time. That in itself tells me that I have picked the right job. I love that! I love this job. I just hope things continue to stay this way. I really don’t want to change jobs. No, not this time. I want to stick around until I a) get really bored b) don’t stay motivated c) things turn out for the worse. If things improve, and I stay positive and prolific, I am hoping for great things to come out. What can I say: keep continuing; keep improving; keeg delivering!

  • talking with others

I think I have a social problem. I just have a hard time doing it. I have a hard time interacting with others.

My wife asked me to call Pawel. What do I do? I delay it. And he’s my friend! I should be able to just pick up the phone and call him. And others. And just chat with them.

    But I don’t.

I don’t like it. But if I look deeper, I think it’s always been like that.

  • giving all

I have been here at m6d for a few months now. How do I like it so far? I love it! I think it’s one of the best companies I’ve been part of. I think it’s the best, right after Ask. I just hope that it continues to be like that.

I am trying to do give all I have, at the expense of other, less important things. I wanted to give it a try to see what I can do when I try to give it all. So far, I’m getting some good results.

  • valentines

Today is Valentine’s day. How am I showing my love? It turns out that my wife received a long promised iphone today! Nice Valentine’s present for sure. I also got her something extra. I know she likes Godiva chocolates. So I went to a store and got her a box. Small gift, I know, but I think it’s important to remember. I think it’s the memory that’s important. But I’ll find out when I give it to her.

My son Victor had a birthday on Satuday. And did I mention he’s walking. And he’s doing a great job! He started walking after 11 months and 1 week, I think. About a month later than Fabian did. But everything Victor does is done carefully, slowly. I love how he’s making incremental progress. Slow and steady.

  • procrastination

I like to work on stuff that’s not always the MIT. I really have to stop. This will hurt my performance.

Yes, I am doing things work related. But still, not the things I should be doing. I think it’s fine if I spend an hour or two, but not the majority of the day, like I did today. I spent most of the day on reporting. Sure, it’s cool, but like I said, not the most important thing to do when I have other things on my list.

The problem stems from my reluctance on starting new tasks… is it procrastination? I think so. No procrastination!!!!

  • discipline

    Discipline. Discipline. Discipline.

I woke up today on time. But I did not get anything done. Why? Because I felt a little tired and I took a quick nap. Except when I woke up, it was too late to do anything. That’s not acceptable.

I’m OK with taking an extra 30 min nap. Sometimes. But I have to to ALWAYS setup a timer for that. Otherwise I can’t control that. When I feel really tired, I guess I can even make it a 40min nap so that I wake up at 6.

But please, I need to stay disciplined.

  • journaling

I have to find more time to write in my journal. At least 5 minutes every day. 10 minutes would be better if I can find the time. Is it too much to ask? I don’t think so.
